Best Four Years

Today marks our fourth anniversary and I cannot believe how incredibly happy these past four years have been and it is all because of this wonderful man.

I am blessed beyond words that this kind, patient, loving man proposed to me. He has completely changed my life for the better...he has taught me so much about being a selfless, serving spouse and I feel so lucky to be pampered by his love and service every single day. Not to mention how often he makes me laugh. Our lives are goofy ones.

We spent last Saturday in the temple and as always, it is a special reminder of the covenants that we made to be together forever. Our earthly life has been full of adventures since our marriage, full of big and small decisions, and I am so glad that I got to do it all with him. I can't wait for the forever that was promised to us when we were first sealed.

You bless my life everyday. I love you more than anything.
Happy Anniversary, love!

Separation Anxiety

Yes, Addie has developed a slight stranger danger, but this anxiety is mine. Jon and I will have been apart for eight nights tomorrow night. It's the longest we've ever been apart in our 4 years of marriage and it's pretty much the most awful and annoying thing ever.

But I have found there is truth in the phrase "absence makes the heart grow fonder."
I know the many selfless things that Jon does for me, but being away makes me even more aware of how much I rely on him, for physical help with Addie or daily tasks, but also just as a mental and emotional strength. That man just makes me laugh. I am so grateful that I NEED my husband and that he is so wonderful a husband that I can't stand to be away from him. Even if it is only for eight nights. Love him.

Only 49 hours and 30 minutes till I get to see him again.

By the way, Adalyne and I have managed to have some fun during this separation...a post is to come with our Utah adventures.

To Die For

When I was in the 9th grade, I had the most incredible choir teacher. Really, the best choir director I've had in my entire life. She completely changed the way I view music, the way I listen and react to music, and the way I sing music.

She was tough on us and expected perfection. And when we had performed a song just perfectly, so that all the notes were just ringing because of the perfect harmony (which was rare), she would say, "That was to DIE for." We lived for that praise.

Our teacher's licence plate!
Last night, Jon and I saw "Wicked" on tour. I've seen it before in LA, but it had been a while. It was TO DIE FOR. I cried way too many times. Not because it was super sad, although there are sad parts, but because the actresses had incredible voices, Elphaba and Galinda alike. I seriously had goosebumps on my entire body, even my cheekbones (what the heck), for the entire show. It is rare that music (other than church music) can move me to tears, but these women were TAL-EN-TED!!! My word, I can't say enough for how wonderful the music was. I kept saying to Jon, "How do they do that? How do they sing like that?" I sat on the edge of my seat all night and I'm pretty sure my mouth was in an open O all night due to complete and utter awe.

Not to mention it was hilarious. Galinda in this show was TO DIE FOR. I cried from laughing so hard.

Waiting for the show to start...sorry for the poor quality of mobile pictures

The opening set...again, sorry for the poor quality.

Top it off with Oregano's "Alfedro the Dark", a happy baby who was content playing with her awesome aunt and uncle, and a long, as in five hours long, date alone with my wonderful, sweet husband and it was one of the best nights ever.
